Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Talent Attraction and Selection with a dotted line to the Office of Clinical Leadership, proactively sources, recruits, builds a pipeline nationally of qualified physicians for medical staff He/she will perform initial interviews and screening assessment to determine candidate suitability for placement.  Will also function as liaison to physician staff and monitor retention, on-boarding and contracting.

Identifies and sources candidates.  Properly screening candidates to ensure they meet the requirements of the site-specific open positions.  Must be willing to "Cold Call"

Coordinate interviews, with appropriate staff, make travel arrangements. Completes appropriate vetting and assessment of viable candidates in a timely manner and providing complete summary of physician candidates to hiring decision makers regularly. Networks with program directors, medical staff and professional society leadership to provide information about current opportunities. Provide written posting of opportunities to appropriate programs. Ability to write and create appropriate advertising documents including direct mail, journal advertisement and web site postings for physician openings and monitor response  to report effectiveness of venues. Develops and manages internal/external relationships including Nurture marketing activities.  Acts as liaison to physician staff, developing retention activities to support and retain current staff.  Attend appropriate recruitment meeting as assigned by Director. May include travel and weekend commitments. High degree of judgment and independent decision-making with regard to the analysis of applicant credentials.  The ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.  Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  Able to measure and prepare analysis and research salary data and provide results to leadership. May support executive recruitment and other duties assigned by Director.

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Masters preferred.

5 or more years of experience as a Physician Recruiter or equivalent.

Ability to work independently. 

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. 

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel and Workday HRIS system. 

Be proficient in medical terminology and able to talk intelligently to many Phys Specialties.
