Job Description:

The Manager of Integration Services provides broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies.  He/she influences data conversions and interfaces at the enterprise level.  This role conceptualizes, designs, and assists in the implementation of new and existing systems, middleware, data interface engines, data conversions, and production architectures.  In addition, he/she identifies and promotes best practices and patterns for data modeling, data conversions, and data interfaces.  The role also provides oversight for all activities related to data cleansing, data quality, and data consolidation, using standard methodologies and processes.  Also, this role maintains legacy system interfaces and develops plans for migration to new systems.  He/she implements the interface transition plans and ensures accurate conversions. 

Job Accountabilities

  • 1. Creates and manages appropriate standards, processes, architectural maps and tools to accomplish:  data source mapping, data profiling, interface and data movement documentation, the design of the data movement through the enterprise, the definition of integrative views of data for analytic purposes, and data quality maintenance.    50%
  • 2. Creates and manages documentation for all aspects of data architecture including: logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal/external check and controls, and security.  20%
  • 3. Maintains and provides technical support for existing interfaces and legacy systems through the complete life cycle.    20%
  • 4. Conducts research on emerging technologies in support of data architecture development efforts, and recommends technologies that will increase cost effectiveness, increase data quality, and provide for the flexibility and design of data architecture.  Develops and provides oversight for the implementation of all data interfaces and conversions, in end-to-end integrated systems. 10%

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Information Technology; a Graduate Degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of IT experience, in a senior-level role within one or more of the following areas is required: technical infrastructure management, data management, data interfaces/conversions, and/or data quality
  • 8+ years of HL7 interface experience, preferably implementing large enterprise applications in healthcare
  • 7+ years in healthcare IT and clinical software integration
  • 5+ years programming utilizing middleware apps such as Corepoint, Rhapsody, Ensemble, Mirth Connect
  • Cloverleaf, Qvera, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, HL7, JSON, SFTP, and related communication protocols
  • Strong knowledge of FHIR and interoperability standards and methodologies
  • Experience delivering interfaces to EPIC, OnBase, Cerner, Meditech, GE or other vendors
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, ePHI, and health care regulatory compliance
  • Experience in the healthcare IT industry is highly preferred
  • Must have background in defining solution alternatives relative to business and technical requirements
  • Current industry protocols, standards, and technologies.
  • Must have familiarity with applicable data privacy practices and legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing MS Project as a project management tool preferred.
  • Must have the ability to convey technological concepts that satisfy business requirements.
