Under the strategic direction of the AVP of Supply Chain Operations, the Advisor, Supply Chain, provides expertise and direction for enterprise contract and strategic sourcing strategies and operations. The Advisor, Supply Chain will be responsible for ensuring that standard policies, procedures and methodologies are established, communicated across the enterprise and maintained. This individual should be able to work independently on both standard and complex Agreements with the ability to identify escalation points to Executive management, Legal, and related functional areas such as Rising Ride, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting and Department leaders.
Key Position Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of contract, procurement and or sourcing experience. Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Renegotiating unfavorable terms and negotiating a wide range of contracts for purchased services, supplies, medical equipment, etc. required.
- BA/BS (Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, Supply Chain Management) in related field.
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of comfort presenting to an executive level audience
Must have contracting and sourcing experience. Experience with contract negotiations. Proven ability/experience to interpret contract terms and conditions. Experience with contract management systems, preferably SAP/Ariba or similar applications. Basic working knowledge of procurement operations/processes. Ability to navigate ERP procurement modules such as Lawson/Infor or similar applications. Strong skill set in excel and/or other Microsoft Applications used to perform analysis. Healthcare contracting, procurement and sourcing experience is a plus.
