Vidence Consortium Fellows are leading healthcare systems, independent hospitals, and cancer clinics that leverage the clinical and research tools of the Vidence technology platform, Scimon. Scimon includes information and insights on more than 100,0000 patients from electronic health records (EHR), genomic testing results, patient surveys, claims and other key data points. Utilizing advanced technology including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and a comprehensive suite of professional services, Vidence provides data visualization, insights, and data analytics to Consortium Fellows and others in the medical community to support quality improvement, precision medicine and clinical advancement.

Position Overview

The Clinical Oncology Informaticist integrates their knowledge of the oncology clinical experience with a deep understanding of data and analytics to apply best practices to the management of healthcare information. This role is also responsible for ensuring the collection of processes, standard operating procedures, and tools result in high quality, repeatable clinical data ingestion, handling, calculation, and visualization/function within our products throughout their life cycles, implementation, software development, ongoing audits, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leverages understanding of clinical processes, programming, statistics, data gathering, and visualization to effectively define, distribute, and maintain those insights to drive positive outcomes

  • Works closely with key stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure data accuracy at implementation and audit phases

  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity through defined validation methodologies

  • Reports and tracks defects, assists in defect resolution

  • Recommends new processes that will assist in the automation of the Clinical Data QA process

  • Special projects as needed

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in science, nursing, or healthcare related field; Advanced certification in Nursing/Medical/Health Informatics or Masters of Science in Health Informatics preferred

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in clinical practice

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical informatics experience

  • Demonstrated data analytic capabilities; statistical analytic capabilities preferred

  • High comfort level with technology and familiarity with EMR systems

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Self-motivator who can prioritize and address problems in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Availability for off hours coverage and occasional travel

Preferred Requirements

  • SQL experience / certifications
